THE PATH OF VINAASH (2023)

A demigod warrior named Vinaash (Hindi for “Destruction”) tracks down relics containing the souls of her departed ancestors.

This mini-comic was created as an experiment in the “Marvel Method” of scripting, where I focused on broad story structure, pacing, and panel direction while leaving room for artist Hunaid Taj to take the lead in visual storytelling and scene execution.

The story was conceived as the opening chapter of a larger saga. Future chapters would see Vinaash confront the truth that her family of demigods were not the benevolent rulers she believed them to be, and that her quest has paved the way for their return. Faced with the consequences of her actions, she must choose between joining the warrior Tanjo and his god-killing blade to protect humanity, or claiming her birthright and helping usher in its destruction.

Published by Silver Sprocket, "The Big Apple" serves as the centerpiece of Witch Hazel: Variety Hour, an oversized deluxe edition packed with adventure, humor, heart as well as bonuses like an activity section, foil cover and a sticker sheet. Designed as both a comic and a celebration of the series, it is the largest and most rich Witch Hazel issue released to date.

What Happens at Midnight (2023)
An unseen interviewer asks people across America on December 31st, 1999 the same question: What Happens at Midnight?

This story was published in Failure To Launch, an anthology from Iron Circus Comics, and is available through comic shops and online retailers.

The was an experiment in blending journalistic framing with structured storytelling around real world panic and unease at the turn of the millennium. It also explores pacing in a purely comics-driven way, using each “strip” as an hour in the countdown.

Witch Hazel: Trouble at TCAF (2024)

Hazel helps her friend Jacq table at the Toronto Comic Arts Festival only to find herself caught in the middle of magical mayhem!

The project was supported by the Ontario Arts Council through the Recommender Grants for Writers program, with the recommendation provided by the Toronto Comic Arts Festival itself. Dedicated to the memory of Akira Toriyama, the comic is also packed with affectionate references to Dragon Ball.

One Night at Lorraines (2022)

A young man delivers a suitcase full of tentacles to a strange bar on the other side of town.

One of my earliest completed scripts, drawing on noir inspiration and Vertigo-era influences, particularly the work of Jamie Delano. It differs in tone and approach from my later comics, but remains an important early collaboration with artist Hunaid Taj, who brought atmosphere and surrealism to the page.
